The project "The streets of Tyumen tell"
Back in 1979, a book called "The Streets of Tyumen tell" was published. A lot has changed since that time, the city has almost doubled in size, new neighborhoods and streets have been born. The Tyumen Region has changed, the Soviet Union has collapsed, and the Russian Federation has emerged.
Forty years ago, people saw the world in a completely different way. And today?
In 2019, the idea was born to rethink our past, to look at events dispassionately.
So, together with the TROO "National Cultural Autonomy of the Kazakhs of the Tyumen region", the book "The Streets of Tyumen tell" was published already in the 21st century. The book itself almost immediately became a bibliographic rarity.
This book is not a reference book or an encyclopedia, it does not pretend to be a textbook on the history of the city of Tyumen. Of the thousands of streets in the regional center, it tells only a few. They are notable for the fact that their names remind us of important and interesting events from the point of view of local history. Therefore, this book could be called as follows: "Our city in the name ofниях его улиц"…

The "Streets of Heroes tell" project
In the jubilee year of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a project dedicated to the Heroes of the Soviet Union and Socialist Labor, whose names are named after the streets of Tyumen, was implemented. The book is a continuation of the book "The Streets of Tyumen tell". A lot has changed since that time, the city, new neighborhoods and streets were born.
Every time has different heroes. We did not divide people into reds and whites, and we did not distinguish them by their political views. All of them believed in a bright future in one way or another, had their own ideals, for which they gave their lives. In our book, the heroes of different professions are military, engineers, rural workers, geologists and many others.
